“He who laughs last, laughs best”, “do unto others . . .”, “live every day to the fullest”, “if at first you don’t succeed . . .” and most recently, “life is like a box of chocolates . . .” are all sayings that I have grown up with, used a lot and grown to love. So, on Easter Sunday when Myrna pawned off the hunt onto the men in the family, I offered up “piece of cake!” It brought back memories “so sweet I could taste it.” Naturally, I took the time to enjoy the company of my boys, who immediately embraced the morning as a challenge to produce the best Easter hunt, EVER. As the kids ran out the front door to collect the hidden air conditioners and furnaces, the look of unspeakable joy in all their faces was short lived as Myrna interrupted my moment. “Donnie, where are the eggs?” As the women of the family questioned me more harshly, I offered up “win some, lose some?” as a form of question, to which Myrna said “I was thinking more along the lines of ‘you can’t fix stupid.’” That’s another good one.

So guess what? I’m having a yard sale! Buy a Trane 20 seer air conditioner with a variable speed 95 furnace or a Trane 20 seer heat pump system and get a $1000 rebate.
