News

September 15, 2009

Do you have a minute? Two months ago, my spokesgopher, Louisville Larry, tendered his resignation to me. I was admittedly dumbfounded. As you know, Larry has been a little cold when it comes to promotional ideas ever since the “Like a Good Neighbor” program (see the September, 2005 newsletter). How could he just resign like that? I mean, sure he’s a huge, gross liability, but just like old, dated underwear, he’s my liability. I decided to investigate and sure enough, he had an angle to make money on the Cash for Clunkers stimulus program. However, spelling and listening are just two of Larry’s weaknesses which prompted a phone call from a local auto dealer demanding my attention. He had an overflow crowd and had called the police. So, I asked a simple question. “What is so wrong with having an overflow crowd on your car lot?” To which, he answered my question by asking if I like riddles. I said “ooh, I love a good riddle!” He proceeded. “What is the one thing that can bring both PETA and Tyson chicken together?” Before I could answer, he barked out “Louisville Larry and an 18 wheeler full of chickens!” I was just about to congratulate my friend with a - “that’s a good one”- when it hit me. This is a new low: Cash for Cluckers.

As you know, fall and winter are on our door steps. That means it is time to get your furnace serviced. Our price is the same as always, and if you call by October 16th, you will receive $10 off our normal rates. I am fairly confident that fuel costs will be as high this winter as usual. This service will allow your system to run at its capacity. Call Leah at 968 6222 and she will get you scheduled. Call early because times/dates fill up quickly.

If you want to discuss new equipment, man, have I got deals for you. You can now buy Trane’s highest grade of equipment, the XL20 a/c and the XV95 furnace, for about $500 more than the standard grade that Trane offers. This is based on rebates and tax credits that are available at the present time. You can receive (by October 31) up to $1000 from Trane, a $1500 tax credit from the Feds and $250 from Kentucky! I have a customer who priced a system late last summer, went to Florida for the winter, re-emerged in the spring and bought the same system this year for $2300 less. Who says the early bird gets the worm? In his case, he snoozed and WON! This is an incredible opportunity to buy. Take advantage of it. Call us and we will show you that with DFH, It Is Hard To Stop A Trane.

Or, if you have a system that works for you but want it to work all the time, call us for a whole house generator. As you know, we seem to have a storm of the century, about every 12 weeks. We can guarantee your heat this winter, as well as your refrigerator, freezer, sump pump, etc., with a Kohler product.

Finally, we have up dated our web site and have product links, testimonials, and personnel bios for your benefit. Please visit us at www.dfhcompany.com. If you want to receive this letter via computer from now on, email us at leah@dfhcompany.com.

Sincerely
